Service Programs at Proyecto Asis Wildlife Rescue Center
Costa Rica is a country that covers only 0.03% of the surface of the earth; however, it has almost 6% of the world’s biodiversity. Costa Rica has been a bridge of countless species of animals and plants for thousands of years.
Wildlife trafficking is very common worldwide and Costa Rica is not an exception. Thousands of species are manipulated wrongly and it results in animals to be confiscated as they became illegal pets. There is also the situation of finding animals forsaken, sick, or homeless due to natural disasters. Many of these animals are taken to Proyecto Asis where we do our best to improve their situations.
Volunteering gives a great opportunity to enjoy all the beauty of Costa Rica while you help at our wildlife rescue center in the process of rehabilation of many species or simply giving them a better quality life.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds that would like to take part in our Service Programs. Our programs are hands-on, interactive, diverse and include aspects of Costa Rican culture. We hope that you will join us in our mission to share culture, community, and promote the importance of conservation.
We work passionately through educational programs for individuals, families or groups.
We even go beyond and offer Spanish lessons.

You can combine the Individual or Family Program with Spanish classes or simply come and take classes in a different and natural environment.
